SCABRIELLA AND THE KING Also known as ‘the porridge flinging show’ – in fact, there were some members of the cast who refused to call it anything else. This was Bedlam’s first production after it initially assembled as a loosely-knit group of performers who got together to provide mediaeval music and foolery at a banquet in Looe in early summer 1987. Scabriella involved a lot of hessian and played at outdoor venues in Cornwall and Brittany to audiences who weren’t afraid of getting besmattered by cold breakfast cereals… |
