EDUCATION

Bedlam began very quickly to develop a strong educational strand within its output. The company provides a year-round programme of workshops in a wide variety of techniques and skills. Workshops are provided for schools and colleges, mainstream and special needs, young people and adults. Regular clients involve jobseekers' groups and mental health charities. In addition to this, the company provides two weekly Bedlam Youth Theatres, at Penrice Community College, St. Austell every Saturday and The Public Rooms, Bodmin on Mondays. See Youth Theatres.

COMMUNITY:    Bedlam has a strong history of large community projects, including direction of a mummers play, Bells Ring Backwards, and The Torbay Millennium Pageant. Rory Wilton also worked as production manager for the Ordinalia project for many years. The company is very interested in developing this area of work further.
